*This fun activity is great for review and practice of the following math skills: multiplication, order of operations, graphing, & probability and fractions.
*To begin, each pair of students is given a bag of jellybeans to sort by color.
*After reviewing the concepts of probability and how to represent as a fraction, I have students identify the chance of pulling a particular colored jellybean from the bag (practice writing fractions).
*Students then solve equations for multiplication and order of operations using their jellybeans.
*Students also create a bar graph of the jellybeans in their bags.
*After completing the activity, students get to enjoy a sweet treat!
*Common core skills: 3.OA.1 and 3.NF.1
