This is a single four page unit from Reading Through History documenting the life and achievements of the Reverend Jesse Jackson, an often overlooked individual who played a key role in the Civil Rights Movement and was a close friend of Martin Luther King Jr. There is a one page biography followed by three pages of student activities. The student activities include multiple choice questions, a student response essay question, a guided reading activity, and vocabulary activities. There is enough material to cover around thirty to forty minutes of class time.
