It can be difficult to find the time to teach in detail about all that we wish to cover with our curriculum. This handout will give your students the opportunity to become familiar with post-Reconstruction Jim Crow laws in the South. This can be a class assignment or homework.
Students will read a concise, one page, summary of the history of Jim Crow laws, how they received that terminology and when they came to an end. After reading the summary, students will answer 11 questions about the reading.
