Johnny Appleseed and idioms go hand in hand. This lesson includes a close reading passage about Johnny Appleseed and a lesson about idioms. Once students have completed the lessons there is an art activity that will allow them to create a beautiful diorama pop-up book of Johnny Appleseed.
