Johnny Appleseed Activities: This packet includes four sets of alphabet stick puppets that cover terms you use when teaching about Johnny Appleseed. You can use them for alphabet activities and for Johnny Appleseed story telling activities like plays and sequencing.
You have A for Apple, B for Basket, B for Blossom, J for Johnny Appleseed, L for Ladder, O for Orchard, P for Pie, P for Pioneer boy, P for Pioneer girl, S for Seed, S for Sprout, T for Tree, and W for Wagon.
You will get a black and white set with and without the letters and a color set with and without the letters. Each set will include the same 12 images. Your students can color or paint the black and white versions too. Then each stick puppet has a dotted line around it for your students to practice their cutting skills. After they cut out the stick puppet, tape or glue it to a craft stick, pencil, ruler, or even a sturdy drinking straw.
Next, you'll find the same set of stick puppets in color. Simply print these and cut them out. These work well for teachers to use and for classroom displays or pointers and for when you tell the story of Johnny Appleseed. Or your students can put on a Johnny Appleseed play and use the puppets to tell the story.
I have also included suggestions for using these Johnny Appleseed alphabet stick puppets in your room in a way that lets your students have fun while learning. Check the preview to see all that is included. Thanks!!
