Let's face it. Sometimes showing a video in class just gives some kids the excuse to try to sleep or get distracted by other things. Kids ALWAYS learn more from a video when they are waiting for an answer, and this video sheet is your answer to Johnny Tremain! Johnny Tremain is the 1957 Disney movie based off of the book of the same title. The movie shows what life was like in Boston for a teenage silversmith's apprentice from the time of the Tea Act to the Boston Tea Party, to the Battles of Lexington and Concord. It is a clean, classroom friendly film to show your students about this time in our nation's history. Even though it can be cheesy at times, it still a great resource. This guide will give you what you need to help students stay engaged throughout the movie, and to facilitate discussion.
