This all new visual based curriculum is designed to help students working in robotics understand the often difficult technical aspects of their systems. In this unit students use real measurements to determine gear pitch as it relates to proper gear choices in robotics and similar systems. Students also graph data calculations from various gears in an X-Y Scatter plot, determine the slope of gear pitches, predict gear metrics, and draw to scale various gears. This is a very compact and rich unit that is intuitive for both teacher and student.
