This is a two-page Word document with14 questions that directly corrrelates to the "Joints and Skeletal Disorders Open Notes" also found in my TpT store under separate cover. This assignment also includes a drag and drop activity where the student must drag the type of joint to the appropriate anatomical site on the skeleton. In order for the drag and drop to be activated, this assignment must be used electronically. However, a printed copy works just as well, and the terms used in the drag and drop simply become a word bank for the students to place in the appropriate places on the skeleton.
This assignment is used on the computer with a drop box such as Blackboard or School Space. It can be quickly and easily converted into a printable paper copy by simply removing the asterisks and adding lines for the students to write their answers instead of typing them. I use this format often so that we can save paper by using electronic copies of assignments.
The student answers the questions by placing the cursor between the red asterisks and begins typing the answer - that way they can easily see that they've answered the question and I can easily grade the assignment by reading what they've typed in red. The student's completed assignment will look much like the teacher's answer KEY when done correctly. I love technology!
Using this assignment electronically is not a necessity. The asterisks may be removed and lines added for the student's answers, then printed as a paper copy. Word is so easy to manipulate and tweak to make it your own. However, even when a student is absent I simply make a copy of this assignment - asterisks and all - and there is usually plenty of room for them to print their answers on the paper. Easy, with no modifications! Even the drag and drop can be completed with no modifications to the document - the student just uses the terms in the drag and drop as a word bank and adds the words to the appropriate section of the skeleton.
