Product Description
This guide is designed to be used as a small group activity that follows a closer reading of the sermon by Edwards. The objective is to discern that the the puritans were not able to achieve the perfect 'city upon a hill' as evidence in the need for such a condemning and harsh sermon. This activity often follows individual work answering the Guided Reading Question sheet (also available in my store). The task requires some abstract thinking for the students to synthesize why the puritan society could not reach the pinnicale of 'the city upon the hill'.
