How I use this product:
I introduce and implement the journals the first week of school. Since routine is important for students in the early learning years, I think it’s important to start working on them to set the routine. Every morning as soon as students come in and place their belongings away, they begin working in their journals. As students finish their drawings my paraprofessional and I ask the students what they drew and we transcribe it for them. Later on in the year the students are able to sound out words phonetically to write and use sight words learned.
