Journals are a great way to reflect on learning across the curriculum. All you need to do is pick out a beautiful jar of your choice, print out the cover and glue/tape it on the front of the jar. Then, print out the journal prompts, cut them into slips of paper and place them into the jar. Reach into the jar each day that you want your students to write in their journals. Set your timer (according to the developmental needs of your specific students) and encourage them to write anything that comes to mind as you read the prompt. It is suggested that you laminate the journal items for durability. Happy journaling!
