This graphic organizer works well for students on a lower level, or lower grades. I teach 6th grade, but I use it for students that do not understand how to structure a paragraph. This introduces basic paragraph writing skills. They learn that a paragraph should have a main idea, details, and a concluding sentence. It also teaches them how to introduce transition words. I suggest completing a model of this graphic organizer. Once the outline is completed, there is an attached page where students can transfer their outline to paragraph form. There are color coded accents included.
