PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In order to spice up class, reward students, or provide a journal warm-up instead of sentences when I'm absent, this journal prompt is a fun way to engage students.

Kid President's inspirational video about the twenty things he thinks people should say more often is humorous but also thought-provoking. The video can be accessed for free online at Youtube, but the handout also contains Kid's President's List of "twenty things to say."

After completing the journal prompt, I have students share their answers with each other. Then, we discuss some potential deeper meanings to some of the sayings as a class. For instance, Kid President may not actually be talking about barbeque sauce...ask your students what you think he's really saying!
