In this minilesson, students will learn the 7 basic principles of good layout design. The principles include: Typography, Eyelines, Allignment, Balance, White Space, Contrast, and Color. Each one includes a concise explanation as well as some images to go with each one. On the last page there is a detailed 3 part assignment where the students will work, both individually and in groups, on projects that can be used to assess their understanding of the material and their creativity. This can be used for your Yearbook, School Newspaper, or Magazine class.
