Your daily routine for Journeys Reading for 3rd grade just got a whole lot easier! I’ve taken the daily routine and put it into a PowerPoint presentation so each part will be right at your fingertips! All you have to do is click through the six daily slides and then move on to the rest of your language arts instruction for the day.
I want to be very clear about what you are purchasing if you buy this Coming Soon Bundle.
Unit 1 (lessons 1-5) is the only unit that is complete at this time. The other units will be updated as soon as I finish them. Here is my completion schedule:
Unit 2 end of August
Unit 3 middle of October
Unit 4 end of November
Unit 5 middle of January
Unit 6 end of February
I will try my best to stick to this schedule, but sometimes life happens!
My reason for posting this bundle before it is complete is that it allows you to get the bundle discount now. If I wait until all the unit are complete, you would have to purchase the units individually at full price through this school year. I hope these units help you have a successful year!
If you’re using Journeys Common Core 2014 or 2017 in your classroom you know there are many great components. One is the Daily Opening Routine. Now you have that wonderful resource in an easy to use PowerPoint format. All you do is click through the slides to glide through the daily opening routine.
You can go through the daily slides at your own pace, slowing down or speeding up to meet the needs of your students.
Please download the preview. It is the six slides for lesson one. Save it to your computer, then open it through PowerPoint. Watch it as a slideshow to see all the animations.
This set of presentations includes:
Daily Routine PowerPoints for 5 Lessons-
-A Fine, Fine School
-The Trial of Cardigan Jones
Each PowerPoint Slide Show has 6 slides for each day of the week.
The six slides cover-
Think About It (Essential Question)
Brain Stretch (Warm Up Word Play)
Word Mastery (Weekly vocabulary words)
Word Study (Phonics and word skills)
Grammar Check (weekly grammar skills)
Daily Edit (Editing sentences)
Buzz Vocabulary Games
You'll have a one-page game for each story. Students roll a dice and move around the spaces that have fill-in-the-blank sentences or thinking questions about each word. It's a great way to review weekly vocabulary and will work perfectly in your literacy centers!
This zip file contains PowerPoint presentations for lessons 1-5, and a pdf file for the vocabulary games.
Note about the PowerPoint files: Please make sure you save the files to your computer and then open them with your PowerPoint program. Some slides have many layers of animations, so text and images are stacked on top of each other. They will look jumbled until you view them in a Slide Show.
These PowerPoints are compatible with both the 2014 and the 2017 edition
