Use these worksheets [with answer sheets, sample goals, a list of common core standards that align with these, and suggestions for ways to use this package] to connect speech therapy and student goals to the same materials used in the language arts classroom.
This unit is designed to bridge speech therapy goals with classroom language arts classes to promote carryover and generalization of skills into the students' day-to-day work. These materials may be used to elicit verbal or written responses. Useful in small group, peer pairs, speech therapy, and for response to intervention. It is NOT intended that ALL of the worksheets be used with every child. There are 5 tasks for each of 5 skill categories for practicing or sampling skills. Each skill should take 30 minutes. Included in this unit are pages for:

*sentence decombining ["Detail Detective"]
*sentence combining with conjunctions
*sentence sets for drawing conclusions
*extended response questions requiring complex sentence answers
*answer sheets with examples of possible responses for all worksheets
*all activities may be used for verbal discussions, eliciting verbal responses and/or written responses.
