I bet you're hearing from administrators....."NO MORE WORKSHEETS OR RUN-OFFS! WE EXPECT TO SEE STUDENT GENERATED WORK!"
If you are implementing the Journeys Reading Series, these "kid friendly" illustrations were designed as a model for TEACHERS to use during whole group instruction, mini-lessons or as "posters" in literacy workstations. My students write and illustrate these maps and models in their Language spiral notebooks, as we discuss each adjective or antonym. Writing the word AND illustrating an original picture to match, helps those early writers and readers be successful!
These notebooks are used as a personal “word wall” resource during daily writing, as well!
This pack includes 2 CIRCLE MAPS naming adjectives for color and number ~ one model of illustrations with adjectives (size/number/color/shape) ~ one model of common Antonyms/Opposites
All items align with the Common Core Standards and the target/focus skills taught in the basal for this story.
