This set is part of a larger bundle for Kindergarten Sight words using the Journey's program. Set 5 includes: say, new, said, was, then, good, ate, could, she, over, her. This is the fifth set of 11 Kindergarten sight words in the Journey's program.
The bundle includes all 88 Dolch sight words for Kindergarten. The sight words follow the order set in the Journey's reading program. There are 8 sets of sight words with 11 words in each set.
This set includes:
Parent letter: simply write in the test date and send home to parents each month.
Assessment: simply mark words that students miss and write the score in at the bottom.
Sight word tracker: a data sheet to keep in the student’s data folder. This is a great way to let students keep track of their data. Allow them to color or mark off words as they master them.
Roll, read, and color: super simple to use, directions are on the page.
Trace, stamp, and rainbow write: Simply print front to back to have all 11 sight words.
Mystery words: Students should write the beginning sound for each picture to discover the mystery sight words. Then trace the sight word list and add it to their interactive notebook.
Sight word flash cards: Print, laminate, and cut. Use the solid print as flash cards and the tracer print as write and wipe cards for centers.
Word search: Have the students look for the sight words and highlight them. Answer key is included.
School themed incentive chart: cute incentive chart to keep track of sight words that students have mastered. Students can add a sticker to their chart as they master the words. Place all incentive charts on a themed bulletin board for added cuteness.
Sight word bingo: includes 10 different bingo cards. Each card has all 11 words and a free space. Includes are word squares to keep track of the words that have been called.
Sight words read it, make it, write it: Print, laminate, and cut cards. Students should read the word, make the word using magnets or letter tiles, then write the word using a dry erase marker.
In my own classroom, I focus on one set per month to push students to master all 88 by the end of their Kindergarten year.
