Mix and Mingle - Students walk around the room and try to match the word and the definition.
Act It Out -Give a vocabulary card to groups of 2-5 students depending on class size. Each group creates a way to act out their word. Once groups have created an action, form a circle and have each group show action. Other students repeat the action and then guess the word. Continue until all words have been shared.

I Have, Who Has....-Pass out a card to 8 students. Have the student with the ‘start’ card begin. Everyone else listens to the definition. The person with the word for that definition shares and play continues until all cards have been read.
Memory - Separate vocabulary words and definitions Turn all cards face down. Have students turn over two cards. If a match is made, they keep the cards and get a second turn!.
Write a Silly Sentence – Choose two or more vocabulary words and try to create a silly sentence. The sentence can be shared orally or written down.
