This independent practice activity allows students to practice the grammar skill for each of the five lessons in unit one for the second grade Journeys reading curriculum.
Lesson One: Subjects and Predicates
Lesson Two: Simple Sentences
Lesson Three: Types of Sentences
Lesson Four: What is a Noun?
Lesson Five: Singular and Plural Nouns
There are 20 task cards for each lesson. I have included two options for differentiation: a 10 question answer sheet and a 20 question answer sheet. The first ten task cards are slightly easier and have less to read than task cards 11-20.
I have also included answer keys so the kids can check their own answers. These task cards can be used in centers during Daily Five or used whole group if you have a few minutes to fill before moving on to the next subject.
These task cards are also part of a bundle with vocabulary and phonics task cards, as well as 25 days of independent bell work that practices the skills in each Journeys lesson. When you purchase the bundle, I give you a set of blank answer sheets for each lesson so you can mix and match the questions from the three sets of task cards (grammar, vocabulary, and phonics). Each task card is color coded by lesson and it also is labeled by skill in order to keep things organized.
