Materials: pencil & true/false questions
Teams: Split students into teams. Have 1 person from each team sit as a group.
Game: Place a pencil in the center of the table. The teacher reads a true/false statement. If the statement is true, the students try to grab the pencil. If the statement is false, the students don't want to grab the pencil.
Points: Students get 1 point for grabbing the pencil if the statement is true. For a false statement, each student who didn't grab the pencil gets a point. A point is taken away from teams who reach for the pencil. The team with the most points wins!
This activity has 20 true/false questions included regarding the book Berto y sus Buenas Ideas. I use this in Spanish I.
