Based on the vocabulary found in Realidades 1: para empezar.
I created these cards originally as a memory game, but I've also used them at stations and as "find a partner" cards. Please let me know of any additional uses you find for them in your classroom!
-Paste this sheet to colored paper (to make sure they aren't see-through). [I create multiple sets in different colors so that the sets do not get mixed up and multiple groups/students can use them.]
-Cut into squares.
-Re-cut apart and keep together w/ rubber band or in envelope.
USES FOR THE CARDS:
Juego de memoria:
-Students will play this game in pairs
-Students shuffle the cards and begin with all cards flipped over in a rectangular pattern.
-Player 1 selects a card (you can have them say the name of the card they flipped over if you'd like). They then select another card in an attempt to get the word or image that matches their original card (image and word creates a pair). If they do not get the pair, they flip them back over in their spot.
-Player two does the same. If they create a pair, they keep those two cards.
-The player who, at the end of the game, has the most pairs, wins.
Independent vocabulary review:
Students work independently to match the images to the words as a vocabulary review (I've done this as a station and it went really well).
Each student in the class gets a card and to find their partner they must ask "¿Tienes _________(whatever their card is)?"
