This lesson serves as a tribute to the life and legacy of Julian Bond. The lesson requires students to view and analyze his final speech that he gave at the Vietnam War Memorial in which he spoke about the power of Protest. This lesson will have students engage in critical thinking about how they can impact their communities through participation in the political process and how they can honor the life and legacy of Mr. Bond by engaging in Civic Participation at an early age. I hope you find this to be an engaging educational experience for your students.
