This worksheet helps students go further into Cassius's speech to Brutus about the conspiracy.
After reading, I hand out this sheet, and students use annotation symbols to go through and mark the text. Then, they explain a little more thoroughly why they put some of the symbols down. Finally, they "translate" the text into modern English.
I have seen great success with this worksheet my sophomores, especially those who I wondered if they were getting anything out of our reading.
Also available as a bundle or individually for Brutus's soliloquy in Act II, scene 1; Brutus's funeral speech in Act III, scene 2; Antony's funeral speech in Act III, scene 2; and Antony's short speech over Brutus's body in Act V, scene 5.
