This resource consists of a character profile for each of the four main characters.
The format is not unlike a reading comprehension. After the notes on each character, there are questions which students must answer. There are also a couple of different types of activities, just to mix it up a bit. These are word matching / vocabulary exercises (3) and a cloze test. Using words from the character profiles, the matching exercise tests students' comprehension of key words relating to each character. The cloze test is a short summary exercise on Brutus.
The characters profiled are Caesar, Brutus, Cassius and Antony.
I find that students must work to reinforce their learning, which is why I present my notes in this format. However, even if you don't use the student tasks, the notes make an excellent handout suitable for revision.
This is a Word document, so easily editable to suit your class.
The solutions to the word matching and cloze test are included.
Download the preview file to access the first paragraphs on Caesar, the questions which accompany the Caesar test, and a glimpse of how the word matching exercise is formatted.
