In this Common Core aligned activity, students closely read Act I, scene ii of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, annotating the text as they extract insights about key characters. Using their discoveries, they work to come up with character traits for each, supporting with evidence from the text.
This engaging, rigorous activity is a great way to get students to dig deep into a complex text while analyzing the development of main characters. Works well as a group and/or individual activity.
