This daily reading guide features the page numbers read on a day-to-day basis including a reading comprehension activity.
I have included a photo of the book I use so there should be no confusion regarding the page numbers. Just in case you do nt have the book, I have also included the quote I begin with and the quote I end with.
The activity will aid students’ comprehension as students will review the reading material as they write about it. The activity is a personal diary in which the students write from either Brutus or Cassius’ perspective.
This first person point of view will force students to consider so much that is usually lost in a quick reading! Students will consider the character’s feelings, motives, internal conflicts, and personal thoughts.
I enjoy teaching Julius Caesar! Students love reading plays, changing their voices to fit the characters, and most of all, they love mock script at the end!
