Description

This packet is a book companion for "Jump Frog Jump" by Robert Kalan and geared for preschool and early elementary students.

It's great for your speech room, preschool classrooms, severe-profound classrooms, and it even includes pages you can send home for homework.

Contents of the packet include:

-Story props: Cut out and attach stick to use for retell or acting out the story.

-Sequencing: Cut out cards and have students put them in order and/or use to retell the story. Cut and paste sequencing activity also included.

-Vocabulary: Cut out cards and use for describing, identifying, oral explanations, or making sentences/expanding utterances.

-Following directions/prepositions: Cut out pond scene and picture squares. Attach scene to a file folder or baking sheet. Laminate and add Velcro or magnets to picture squares if desired. Students listen and follow the positional directions using the picture squares.

-Visual sentences: Use for reading, expanding sentences, articulation, etc.

-Comprehension questions: Cut out cards and answer who, what, and where questions with visuals. Without visuals also included.

-Categories: Sort the lily pad objects onto the correct pond category.

-Function flies: Cut out fly cards. Practice functions receptively or expressively. Feed them to the frog tissue box if desired.

-Frog face tissue box: To be used with included cards or any desired card decks.

-Basic concept sort: Sort the cards onto the corresponding picture mat (big/little, wet/dry).

-Rhyming words: Match the cards that rhyme. Feed them to the frog tissue box if desired.

-Reinforcer board game: Simple open-ended reinforcer game to be used with any target.

-Open-ended coloring worksheets: Can be used with articulation words, grammar targets, or other speech/language skills.

-Conditional directions/glyphs coloring sheet: Follow the directions to color the pictures.

-Writing prompt: Students write a sentence about a detail they remember from the story, then illustrate it in the empty box above.
