I have been trying to come up with the best way to easily keep track of my students’ progress through the new Common Core Standards. I came up with these charts with the idea that I could keep them on a clip board and be able to quickly mark when I see a student demonstrate a skill. You can mark the chart anyway that you want, but I am thinking about using tallies so I can tell how many times they’ve been successful. A date might be helpful instead.
Included is a chart for each of the Science areas: Structure Properties and Interactions of Matter, Earth Systems and their Interactions, Stars and the Solar System, and Matter and Energy in Ecosystems, You will get a plain copy of each one in case you aren’t able to make color copies, and a colored copy of each one. I thought this would help tell each one apart at a glance. Considering that the Science Standards are not completely finished, these will be updated as soon as the final ones are released.
