This is the first of what will be THREE packs of summer review activities for math and literacy (June, July, August). They are designed to help children review concepts learned in kindergarten or could be used to prep children to go to kindergarten. Each day of June, there is one activity listed that has either a math or literacy theme. Some of them are activities that can be done at home and others require supplemental worksheets or emergent readers, which are all included. My hope is that this helps give parents an idea of what FUN activities a child can do over the summer without completely forgetting what they learned during school.
Some of the activities included for June are:
*Make a list of things you want to do over the summer.
*Create and read the small book “Beach Fun”
*Write a letter to a friend from school.
*Look at a calendar. Count how many more months, weeks, and days of summer you have left before school starts again?
*Practice fist letter sounds of summer words.
*Choose one character from your favorite book. Draw a picture of them.
*Make water balloons. Count and write a number on each one as you make them. How many did you make? Have a water balloon fight!
*AND MANY MORE
*Daily Activities List
*15 Math/Literacy Worksheets
*2 Emergent Reader books
