Do your students like a challenge? Do they like to get creative in French class? How does a lesson that includes reading comprehension and some artwork sound? This is an activity that is both academically and creatively challenging for students who have at least the first semester of French 1 under their belts. They should have an understanding of simple present tense verb forms and sentence structure. As classwork, this lesson could take about two or three full class periods. There are five pages in this document which include teacher guidelines, a description of the assignment for students, and a 26-line A-B-C poem in present tense French for students to read and then turn in to a book!
