There are 4 different animals (elephant, zebra, giraffe, and lion). Each numbered card also contains 4 words that each target a different sound: R, S, TH, or L (Each word is labeled with the letter sound). Example of one card:
There are 20 words containing TH, S, and L in initial, medial and final positions and blends; and 10 words containing initial R, or, er, ar, air, ire, ear, and R blends (80 words for each sound, total).

Print one copy of each page on cardstock and laminate (if you choose). Cut along the lines.
Players take turns placing cards down that match either the animal or number on the card. Wild can be played at any time. When a card is played, the student must also say the word on their card that corresponds to the sound they are working on.The first person to get rid of all of their cards is the winner.
