Mrs Patton-For My Second Act

Junie B. Jones is a Beauty Shop Guy is the perfect Realistic Fiction for first and second graders. These beginning chapter books are perfect for read alouds and book clubs.

There are so many reading strategies covered in this unit. I have added ELA activities and writing pages that are perfect for whole group or small group reading. Some years, I’ve used this unit at the end of the year and used all of the pages for a review. There are so many standards covered in this thorough unit! You will not be disappointed.

I have found a great way to incorporate Fiction and NON-FICTION into one book! I have included a text feature page that is perfect for a review! If you have not introduced text features, check out this post on How to Teach Text Features.
