This interactive Googles Slide promotes resilience, normalizes emotions and encourages conversation. Students will learn how their emotions motivate their behaviour and discover that stress is not always negative. This presentation outlines how each of our core emotions communicates to us and motivates our reactions and actions. Allowing students a safe space to openly discuss their thoughts and emotions will provide the opportunity for vulnerability, compassion and understanding. Students will discover that healthy lifestyles promote positive mental health and they will learn how to recognize when their mental health is suffering. It emphasizes the importance of knowing it's okay not to be okay and that everyone experiences difficult emotions. Students will also learn how to recognize when their emotions are becoming unmanageable and how to seek support when struggling.
By encouraging conversation and normalizing feelings students and staff can work towards reducing the stigma that surrounds mental health.
