Just For Journaling K - 2
In my opinion, journaling is one of the most important tools a teacher can use in the classroom when it comes to practicing writing skills and improving spelling and grammar.
Guided journaling using writing prompts, as well as “free writing” provide an important start in developing sentence structure and “making sense” out of sentences. With the addition of an illustration box, the student has an opportunity for comprehension and self expression through images and drawings.
The following are included in this packet:
Just For Journaling Cover
Writing page with illustration box for Kindergarten
Writing page with illustration box for Grades 1-2
Full writing page - Kindergarten
Full writing page - Grades 1-2
Each writing page contains a “date of entry” space to help track progress through the year.
Produce the number of journal pages needed, (two sided if you wish), then collate with the cover to make each student a fun and colorful journal.
When completed, each student journal will help to preserve a little piece of who the child was at that particular time in the school year. The children love looking back through their journal, reading about themselves, and sharing their stories with the class. It’s a great teaching tool!
Please see my TpT store for “Journal Writing Posters” that would provide another teaching resource and coordinate well with the “Just For Journaling” Packet.
