This is a fun film to study for end of life decisions! I designed the worksheet to go along with the Reese Witherspoon film "Just Like Heaven" which features a young woman whose spirit appears and talks to a man with unfinished business. It is discovered that she is in a coma and that her family are struggling with end-of-life decisions to take her off life-support. Suddenly the main character realizes she has a lot to live for but only one person is her advocate and nobody has a reason to listen to what he has to say about her desire to live.
The worksheet focuses on the variety of choices that we face when we have power-of-attorney for end-of-life issues such as coma and life-support dilemmas.
The light-hearted film makes looking at such a serious and usually difficult ethics issue a little easier for students to digest but still seriously take a deep look at ethical dilemmas.
