Your whole class can celebrate how FUN reading is by creating their very own Just READ Banner, making bookmarks, coloring, and writing their 4 W's and an H in graphic organizers about reading!
Check out the PREVIEW to see all that is included.
This set includes the "Color Your Own" version of the Just READ horizontal banner (five pages); an autograph sheet--for your students to sign when they have completed their masterpiece; boy and girl bookmarks; coloring pages and two graphic organizers about reading.
Banner size when constructed is 8 inches tall by 44 inches wide.
To construct the banner: Print on cardstock. Have your students color the banner. Then, cut the banner out, removing the white space only where noted. You will need to cut around some clipart—this will help give the banner a seamless look. You can laminate once you have it all glued together (instead of glue, I used double-stick tape on mine). Finally, have your students sign the autograph sheet and attach it to the back of the banner.
This set also includes some FUN, interactive Just READ bookmarks. Print these on cardstock and laminate the front before your students fill out the backs. There are places for your students to write
** the title of their favorite book
** the best book they’ve read this year
** what they can’t wait to read
** and their name.
Just print and enjoy the coloring pages!
There are two Print & Go! Graphic Organizers in this set. These will get your students WRITING about reading! The first one is designed for 2nd and 3rd grade students. Have them grab a copy of their favorite book and fill out the information on the first sheet (“I love to READ books by WHOM and about WHAT.” Also “WHERE, WHEN and HOW I love to read.”) The second graphic organizer is for younger students. They will draw pictures of WHAT they like to read and with WHOM. Then they will write a sentence about WHERE they like to read. The kidlettes at the bottom of the page are there to remind your students to begin their sentence with a capital, put space between each word, and finish with a period.
