This PowerPoint offers a twist to practicing multiplication facts.

Use it for a multiplication interactive Whole-Class Game, use it for Math Centers, for Small Groups, or as an alternative to seatwork.

After introductions, a PRODUCT is first displayed using exciting animations. Then students choose the multiplicative pair that provides the answer from four animated choices. Then, with the advancement of the PPT slide, the correct answer is displayed for immediate feedback creating an exciting practice and encouraging students to think about their responses.

Multiple uses:

-Whole class team. Divide the class into teams for a team challenge! Give each team a mini whiteboard and dry erase marker to write their answers.

-Math center. Use the recording sheet included for students to write their response. Then with immediate feedback, students will self-evaluate their responses.

-Small groups. Use this activity with those students who could benefit from extra practice.

-Whole class independent practice. With the worksheet included, this PPT can be used with the whole class for quiet, independent, engaging alternative to seatwork.

Apply properties of operations as strategies to multiply and divide.2 Examples: If 6 × 4 = 24 is known, then 4 × 6 = 24 is also known. (Commutative property of multiplication.)

Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
