I wrote "Alphies in LIne: A StoryGame" for a class in Storytelling several years ago. I wanted to create a book that could be used to teach phonics in a creative way. Alphies are the alphabet characters. I start out with three Alphies getting in line to get on a carousel. As the story progresses each consonant or vowel Alphie leaves and is replaced creating a new word. At the end of the story, you cut out the Alphies and make up your own reasons and words and place them on carousel and air-balloon lines. Print out in card stock and use a spiral closing.
