I use this resource as intervention in second grade for English-language-learners and for students who are struggling with place value.
This 6-page bundle has a colorful worksheet which represents a number in the thousands in four ways (number form, word form, expanded form, and with base 10 blocks). This sheet can also be blown-up to be a classroom poster!
There are also 4 worksheets that focus on strengthening skills in the ones and the tens place. These can be used as morning works, homework assignments, extended learning.
I tend to use them as a mixture of morning work and informal assessments during math centers. They are great when you pair them with manipulatables such as physical base 10 blocks!
