I created these plans so that Art teachers can have a go to set of plans when they need a sub. It comes with the instructions and paper. All you need to do is print and go! :)
K-2: Create a T-shirt: Explain to the students that today they will be creating something original meaning that it has to be something nobody else has ever created before. They will be creating an original shirt that describes them. It needs a lot of color and detail. They cannot put anything on the shirt that already exists like Minions, Spiderman, or Dora. They can include things like patterns or other colorful things, but it needs to tell me something about them. It needs to be completely their own idea! When they are done they can write about it on the back of the paper.
3-5: Design an Alphabet: Explain to the students that today they will be creating their own alphabet. They have to make the letters look different in some way. They may choose to stay in one theme like school or space but all of the letters must look different from the normal letters they write. They need to write one letter in each square. They cannot copy off of letters that are already made and just changing the color is not acceptable.
