This unit is based on nature walks to see trees on the school property or at a nearby park. Students will observe, draw, journal, and collect samples that they will later sort, categorize, identify and draw. They will later create a mixed media artwork and found poem about trees.
This unit about trees is developed to support overall expectations in the Ontario Curriculum for Grade 3 in the Arts and Science. However it has resources to support K-8.
