This worksheet can be used in conjunction with a hands-on activity where the teacher provides 3D objects from the real world and gives students the opportunity to identify them. This lesson would work great when introducing or reviewing common core standard K.G2. The teacher would gather real 3D objects beforehand such as: a cube-shaped kleenex box or wooden block, a cone-shaped party hat or funnel, a sphere-shaped globe or ball, and a cylinder-shaped clorox wipes container or paper towel tube. The objects would be labeled with numbers 1-5. Children would write the name of the real object in the first blank then use the word box at the bottom of the sheet to identify it as a cube, cylinder, sphere, or cone.
