Students become the instructors!
Kids’ College is an ongoing enrichment activity that incorporates self-awareness, critical thinking, and communication and organizational skills while fostering respect for others. The self-awareness component encourages appreciation for each student’s strengths and talents, possibly ones that the students have not
thought about before. Students share these interests and talents with others, again fostering appreciation for what others can do. This engaging opportunity to create a craft, learn a new skill, or decorate a bakery item is balanced by the requirement for each “instructor” to plan a lesson, organize materials, and communicate clearly to his/her “students”.
