Mighty Math is a set of weekly formative assessments that can be used to evaluate progress towards the Kindergarten math Common Core State Standards. All nine of the kindergarten CCSS are assessed each week:
Know number names and the count sequences.
Count to tell the number of objects.
Understand addition as putting together and adding to, and understand subtraction as taking apart and taking from.
Work with numbers 11-19 to gain foundations for place value.
***** This standard has been scaffolded for the first quarter assessments, as most kindergarteners aren’t ready for this standard at the beginning of the school year.
Describe and compare measurable attributes.
Classify objects and count the number of objects in each category.
Identify and describe shapes.
---1 time and 1 money problem included on each assessment
Analyze, compare, create, and compose shapes.
This pack contains nine two-sided assessments, with 9 problems on each assessment. These assessments are intended to be used during the first quarter of kindergarten, although they would be good practice for first grade students. Take a peek at the other Kindergarten Mighty Math sets:
