Using the KWHLAQ inquiry method, students are able to plan and record their inquiry.
The tabs at the top of the pages include
K-What do I think I know about the subject,
W-What do I want and need to find out?.
H-How will I go about finding answers to my questions,
L-What am I learning as I move along my inquiry journey,
A-What action will I take as a result of my inquiry, and
Q-What new questions do I have as continue my inqiry?
Each page has a "detective dog" at the bottom with a thought bubble/question to help guide students.
The end of the booklet has a page to record any "wonderings" and other notes they may have while researching their subject as well as a page with the IB-PYP Key Concepts, Learner Profile, Attitudes, Action Cycle, and Transdisciplinary themes.
After printing the booklet, students will need to cut on dotted lines at the top of each page to create a tab. Staple together on the left and they are ready to go! Print on white paper or colored paper to add a little pizazz! :)
