This is a simple, easy, no prep way to monitor students' reading comprehension. Students will use this chart to organize the knowledge they already have before reading a passage. As they read they will fill out the center column with information they have questions on or other ideas that come to mind. Students will synthesize the information they have learned about in the third column.
This is a really simple way to apply reading strategies to any text or passage. I love to use this as a springboard for discussion and writing for next steps.
