Have your students construct a large heart design with bright colors and intricate details using geometry and mechanical drawing techniques. Create these unique designs while you address art and math concepts such as symmetry, geometry, arcs, rotation, mirroring, pattern, color and lots more. Includes a simple solution for beginners as well as a more geometry-intensive method for more experienced students. Requires a compass, ruler, and drawing paper. The project is designed to use 18x24" paper cut to a 18" square. My classes spend several class periods on this project.
PDF format. 32 pages of examples, instructions, templates, and practice sheets. Great for a Valentine's Day project!
