PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

From Electric English...
This is a short activity on "The Good Wife's Guide" published in 1955 that asks the students to take a close look at how language is being used to persuade. Have the students quickly annotate it for diction, style, and syntax.... Then discuss it as a class. It is a super fun activity that gets the students considering language and word choice, but more importantly, there will be some very interesting conversation about the student's findings, views, and ideas. So much can be said with so few words, and our minds can pursue so many avenues depending on our experiences. This activity opens the kids eyes to that :)
