This activity lets students use their knowledge of what resources plants need in order to live while looking at a variety of environments. This activity meets the NGSS Standard 3-LS4-4 Biological Evolution: Unity and Diversity -Make a claim about the merit of a solution to a problem caused when the environment changes and the types of plants and animals that live there may change.
Students will add their own drawings to the environments pictured in order for the plant to survive in each. Then, they will provide their reasoning for what and why they added what they did to the pictures.
